Our Chapter

Founded in 1949 by 14 local public relations professionals as the St. Louis Chapter of PRSA, the Mid-America chapter is the seventh oldest continuous chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. In 2023, the Mid-Missouri PRSA chapter joined together with the St. Louis chapter to form the PRSA Mid-America Chapter. Today, the Chapter includes members from both sides of the Mississippi River as far south as Cape Girardeau and as far west Columbia and Jefferson City. Chapter members represent business and industry, technology, counseling firms, government and military, associations, hospitals, schools, professional services firms and non-profit organizations.
